Our 2002 Bloomer hinges have started to get really stiff and LOUD. They are a very solid hinge. Is there a way to grease them? We have tried to WD40 them (though we can't really get at the inside of the hinge so we just sprayed the cracks as well as we could) but pretty sure that made it worse. The horse door is fine, one manger door is stiff, but the tack door is horrible! It is embarrassing to open and close and I'm afraid to open it because it feels like it is going to break every time. It just started a couple weeks ago. We live on lot of gravel. We have tried to take the pin out but there really is no way to get it out. We of course don't want to damage anything in the process either. Is there a trick to greasing them or does a trailer place need to do it?Any tips or advice?

Welcome to the forum. I use a penetrating oil to lube the pins. WD-40 will dry and not last long. I believe Gard suggested using Kroil (a penetrating oil) and brake fluid mix to breakup some corrosion in another post. Sounds like you will need to soak them down pretty good.

So just get it all around the cracks of the hinges as good as possible and hope it seeps in because I don't think there is anyway we can get the pins out without damaging something. Or if there is a way we just don't know it...haha.

Automatic transmission fluid does a good job of working it's way into the hinges. Also use synthetic motor to keep them free, a drop or less at each joint once every six months or so. If they are making noise, they are way past due for a lube!!
