I'm thinking about doing some riding at Trails End campground in Kentucky. Does anyone know anything about it? I'm going to be riding at Brown County, IN the week before and thought about going somewhere in Kentucky for my second week. I live in Michigan so would like it to be somewhere that is worth the trip.

You need to try Wranglers Campground at Land Betwen the Lakes. They have an excellent campground with many miles of well marked trails (unlike Shawnee).

Thanks for the suggestion. I have never been there before but have heard good things about it. I get lost everytime I go to Shawnee. Each time I am determined to figure it out; and each time I go home still confused.

It is located in Zoe, KY off of Rt. 11, 11 miles south of Slade Exit on Mountain Parkway. Have you ever heard of it? It is supposed to be next to Daniel Boone National Forest.

I don't know if you have made your trip yet or not. However, if you are still planning, you might consider Mammoth Cave. It is reasonably close to Brown County, Indiana, and has a lot of good riding. Double J Campgrounds is a privately owned horse camp with electric and water at each campsite, a bath house, and covered barns. You can ride into the National Park from camp. There is also a primitive horse camp which is operated by the National Park, which I am not familiar with.If you do decide to visit Trails End, I would be interested in hearing about it. I have been to three different horse camps on the Daniel Boone National Forest but have not heard of Trails End.
