Well, I just thought I'd tell you guys I'll be getting married in June 2006.  This means I'll get to start showing again in 2007 as an ammy!  I am counting the days until I can apply for my card...

I just have one question...how do you put a new horse and trailer on your wedding registry?  LOL!

Does this mean in the circuit that you show in, you have to be married to claim an amateur status?

Congrats! Just one question...You can't show unless you're married? Is this part of Bush's "No singles left behind" program?

The only way I could afford to show was when I was training for other folks...my fees got tacked onto theirs.  Their BS put money in my pocket!

Now that has all changed and I'll get to have horses without having to deal with clients.  Not to mention the time to play with them and not have to squeeze in a short ride before dark.

Back when I was a teenager I gave lessons for a short time on my mare. Yuck! I knew then and there that I could never be a trainer. I feel for all the trainers out there who are so patient with our horses, and then have to be patient with quirky owners too. Glad you can get out of the business and still feel the joy of showing. Marriage is a good thing, just ask my husband....No, on the other hand, don't ask him.
