I've seen all sizes but most common are probley 45 amps, Depending on the size of trailer and the demands on the DC side you could get by with smaller or could need larger.

I was wanting to get something that can charge my batteries. I also want to put in a portable A/C, water pump, a couple of lights and maybe a radio/alarm. I only have a 2 ft short wall in this trailer.

Except for the Air conditioner, everything else you want to run from batteries is do-able. The Air conditioner will draw a lot of power. That means a lot of expensive batteries.
