I'm looking at buying a generator for my trailer and I found a Honda EB6500. I have been getting different feedbacks from friends and coworkers. One says that it's too big and the other says it would be great. So which is it? I have full living quarters in my trailer. Please help. Thanks

Hi - I recently purchased a Honda ES3000 - I have a full LQ trailer, with radio/cd/tv/oven/microwave...etc..etc and this generator has no problem with running everything at once! It seems to be big enough to handle the job and I can move it around and even start it with the pull cord if necessary - all by myself! I'm little and weak! The ES6500 might be a little "over-kill" - unless the price is right!

All your appliances have a wattage draw/use on them some where.  Check the data on each unit, add all the wattage draws together and see what you come up with.  A 6500 watt generator is a pretty big unit for a LQ horse trailer.  Happy trails.

when buying a Honda generaor most people would buy a EU3000i this is large enough to run any unit that has a 12,500 BTU air conditioner. This unit will save you a lot of gas and will run so quite that your horse can sleep all night. If you dont need to run a A/C you can buy a EU2000i
