Can someone tell me what kind of adhesive to use to apply rubber kick mats on the rear door and front, as well, and does it need some kind of prep on the painted surface of the trailer? Thanks

I cant help you with the adhesive, but maybe you could help me? (or anyone for that matter) I need the rubber for the kick mat itself, My old two horse needs the kick mat to be replaced, Where can I find that? Thanks!

I have always used contact cement. As far as prep for painted surface, you could rough it up a little but I don't feel it is necessary. Spray each side and let them get pretty dry but still tacky then put together. Better have them just where you want them because there is no sliding it around it sticks on CONTACT with itself. Tip- prefit all peices before gluing.

I used Gorilla Glue on mine and it worked really good. The only problem with it was that you had to make sure to clamp it really good and tight or it won't stick very well..

3M has a high bond adhesive that we use for this purpose. It is available at hardware and that type store. The surface should be cleaned with a degreaser. The mat still needs to be secured with screws or rivets at the top, bottom, and edges.
