I'm looking at a 1995 New Yorker (2-horse straight load, small tack room), but no one seems to know the weight of this trailer, not the seller or even the manufacturer. Other than taking it over a scale, does anyone have an idea of what this trailer weighs? Everyone seems to think they're super light, but the manufacturer's 'guess' was 3,500lbs. Doesn't sound right to me...Thanks

A similar Hawk brand will weigh around 3250#...  A Gore will be around 3100#.

I had one and it rang in about 3500.  I wish I had the slip for it, but I sold it a couple years ago.  Make sure you check the frame really well and make sure it doesn't have rust issues.  Some of those earlier Trailets had frames that would crumble, esp those kept outside.

I have a 94 Trail et 2 h slant load with dressing room. Bought it new, just replaced the floor a year ago, wasn't bad but wanted to be safe. It has been a good trailer for me. I am in WI, do not pull in snow because of salt. Frame was in good shape.  Look the trailer over closely. Bearing and brakes may need to be replaced if not serviced reg.
