Trying to shine up our (new to us) used aluminum stock trailer. It's a milled finish and has become dulled with age. We power washed it with Simple Green today, and although it's cleaner, it's not any shinier. I'm not expecting mirror finish, just a bit less ashy....
Read up on this and wondered if anyone had experiences with it:

To polish a milled finish takes a great deal of labour, power machinery, and compounds. If you want to brighten the aluminum, there are dozens of products, marine, aircraft and RV that will work. If you do decide to polish the surface, you will find it time consuming to keep it bright.
